On behalf of the committee, I am delighted to welcome you to the 11th Bali Neurological Update (BaNU) 2025. I invite you to join us for this annual scientific event, organized by the Indonesian Neurologists Association (PERDOSNI) Denpasar Branch.
This year’s theme is “Transforming Neurological Care: Embracing Basic Knowledge and Exploring the Future — Focus on Stroke, Pain, and Neurooncology.” With this theme, we highlight the crucial transformation in neurological care: balancing the strengthening of fundamental knowledge with the exploration of new frontiers and innovations. Our focus on stroke, pain, and neurooncology reflects some of the most challenging and impactful areas in our field. These topics not only require a deep understanding but also demand that we stay at the forefront of research, clinical practice, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
The event will be held in December 2025 at Ngoerah General Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the Prime Plaza Hotel.
The symposium will feature plenary sessions, along with both online and offline sessions. The workshops will include full-day and half-day courses, ranging from teaching sessions to hands-on practice. In addition, we will host a poster competition. Non-scientific events such as an exhibition and a gala dinner (including a Udayana alumni gathering) will also be part of the program.
We hope this event also will provide an excellent opportunity for pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and healthcare industry partners to showcase and promote their products to more than 350 neurologists and allied healthcare professionals from Bali and across Indonesia.

Bali Neurology Update, also known as BaNU, is a national scientific event held annually by the Denpasar branch of the Indonesian Neurology Association (PERDOSNI). Now in its 11th year, BaNU continues to serve as a platform for sharing the latest advancements, research findings, and clinical practices in the field of neurology.
